Seattle Hilltop Remodel

This early-2000s Seattle home had been modernized just six years ago, but the new homeowners were drawn to a more traditional look and feel. Some architectural character remained from the previous remodel, yet there was ample room to deepen that sense of tradition—so we kept going. The transformation includes added moldings and built-ins, a historically inspired arch, a staircase facelift, moody living room color drenching, and layers of unlacquered brass throughout. In the kitchen, we worked thoughtfully with what was already there—keeping the cabinetry and countertops while repainting the cabinets in softer, contrasting hues and updating all remaining finishes.
