Remodel and new construction projects
Interior design selections for remodel and new construction projects start early in the process. Bringing your interior designer on the job in its earliest stages means you create a cohesive home that is built for your unique lifestyle. Often it saves my clients money! A talented and experienced designer like me helps you manage your investment from the very beginning.
We will collaborate throughout planning and construction to select the elements of your design: paint colors, flooring, lighting, countertops and countless other foundational elements. All areas will receive complete floor plans, concept boards, elevation drawings for built-ins and cabinetry, a lighting plan, and a spreadsheet of design selections. Furnishings are available as a separate contract. A custom design means that the form of your project will naturally be connected to how you function in the space, allowing for an effortless flow in daily life. I am happy to work with your general contractor.
Furnishing projects
Partnering with me as your designer will give you access to quality, wholesale furnishings that are often not available in big-box retail stores. Furnishings projects may be combined with a remodel or new construction project. I will consider existing pieces and work with you for just the right way to incorporate. In addition to furniture, a furnishings plan for your space will also include the light fixtures, window coverings and paint/wallpaper selections.
Design Fees
My clients have budget and product approval every step of the way, and I will never exceed your budget! I charge a design fee as a flat rate per room. I also charge a design commission for all items specified for the project. My work for you includes designing through floor plans, detailed concept boards, elevations and renderings, and final selections spreadsheet. I’m responsible for sourcing, purchasing, receiving and storing selected furnishings, and final project installation. You will have the ongoing support of a professional who is obsessed with the details.
Paint Consultation
A paint color consultation takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect paint colors. There are thousands of paint colors to choose from and an infinite number of color combinations. Trying to narrow down the right color combinations that will complement your décor can be an overwhelming process.
Color consultations take place at your home. The first part of the meeting is dedicated to you to discover what colors resonate with you and which do not, what you love about your environment and what you are seeking to change. I’ll ask what your objectives are in your space, what you would like to achieve through a refreshed paint scheme. I’ll evaluate your environment, the elements that already exist in the space, how you’ll use the space, and the lighting that influences the space.
Following your initial in-person consultation, I’ll schedule an online review, then you'll receive a final detailed schedule of paint colors and sheens, and instructions for your painter.

Designer by Your Side
A 1-hour, in-person design session will help you move forward with a design project you are completing on your own. I’ll provide guidance on anything from furniture layouts, paint colors, window treatments, furnishing recommendations, styling ideas, kitchen or bathroom material selections, and minor remodel possibilities.
You decide what your priorities are ahead of time, and I will walk through with you, sharing my ideas and recommendations.
You will have a list of ideas and solutions for taking action. Because this session does not provide specific items to purchase, come prepared with images and clear priorities for your space so we can move toward your goals in real time.
Seattle area Designer by Your Side, per room, 1 hour: $375
E-Design (remote only)
If you are looking for professional design guidance and want to manage the details on your own, E-Design may be the solution you are looking for. E-Design is for clients living outside the Puget Sound area.
Remote E-Design sessions include design style discovery, space planning, material and finish selections, a detailed shopping list with links to products, and installation guides. I will connect with you via virtual calls throughout the process, with you every step of the way to completing your project.
